What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a system based on laws and principles of nature and medicine. That basis is the principle that “like cures like”. That is, if a substance can cause symptoms in a healthy person, then it can stimulate self-healing of similar symptoms in a sick person.

Homeopathic remedies are derived from any source in nature; be it plant, animal, or mineral. These substances are highly diluted to remove toxicity and succussed to release their latent power. Each remedy has been tested by healthy humans, and the resulting physical, emotional, and mental changes perceived by them are entered into the Materia Medica (a log of medicinal uses and properties), and the remedy itself is recorded in the FDA’s Homeopathic Pharmacopia which ensures standards of manufacture.

Homeopathy is a profound yet gentle and non-invasive form of medicine that has been used worldwide for about two hundred years. All manner of problems can be addressed with remedies, even those not commonly treated by other therapies. We have some 3,000 different remedies from which to choose, each with its own unique symptomology. Homeopaths regard any symptom as an individual’s natural response to stresses. Homeopathy treats the whole person, so one remedy at a time will be recommended for you and all of your symptoms, no matter how unrelated they may appear to be.

Homeopathy demands rigorous training from those who administer remedies. For safety and effectiveness, it is recommended that a professional homeopath be consulted prior to the use of any remedies. This consultation is simply an in-depth interview - no machines, no testing, no diagnosis. Babies, expectant mothers, children, men, and women of all ages, and even pets, are welcomed.
